Yankee Candle New Spring Fragrances 2014: Exotic Escapes

Are you ready for Spring? Yankee Candle can help you get in the groove with their new Exotic Escapes Collection for Spring 2014. Here they are with  my initial thoughts:

Ocean Star: Soothing and fresh . . the scent of peaceful, sun-kissed waters laced with aloe, citrus, and lotus blossom. Dive in!

Love. This is fresh and clean and smells so good! It has a bit of a floral note but does not smell perfumey to me.

Citrus Tango: Time to shake things up with this lively, playful melody of sunny orange, lemon zest, and grapefruit.

Oh my goodness – wonderful! This is a fresh burst of citrus, sweet and tangy. The lemon is the first thing I notice followed closely by the orange. I hope I enjoy this one burning as much as I do sniffing it. Ahhh! My only gripe is this candle has a light cold sniff.

Luau Party: Join the celebration . . .every day is a festival with the fun and fruity mix of orange fizz, sparkling peach, and vanilla ice.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better. Luau Party is fantastic on cold sniff! It is also citrusy but without that initial burst and tanginess of Citrus Tango. It is a little sweet and has an element of creaminess. Not as strong as I’d like on cold sniff, though.

Under The Palms: Like cool, refreshing shade . . . a lush, green scent of sea grass, palm leaves, and island coconut.

Hmmm…not sure on this one. It is fresh and green with hints of fresh coconut. I’m just not wow’ed by it on cold sniff.

Exotic Bloom: Deep in the tropical night, the seductive perfume of island flora creates an air of mystery and romance.

I’m really not a floral fan, but I seem to be melting/burning a lot more of these lately. This smells like a floral I could do…it’s soft and smells very pretty. It reminds me somewhat of Tulips but it is more perfumey. The cold sniff on this is stronger than the citrus ones.

Have you tried any of the new scents?

Happy candle burning ~
