What’s That In My Melter? Bay Leaf Wreath Votive, Yankee Candle Company

I recently melted a Yankee Candle Bay Leaf votive (1.7 ounces in a 40W bulb melter). I went in thinking this would be another ho-hum Christmas yankee-candle-bay-leaf-wreath-votivescent, but I loved it! There was a fresh, clean element to this scent I wasn’t expecting. Almost like a laundry detergent kind of clean. The citrus and sweet cedar mixed well and the scent of bay leaves wasn’t as pronounced as I thought it would be. Still, I was surprised at how much I loved this scent! The scent from the votive carried very well in the room I had it in. I have read very mixed reviews on it, so I’m not sure if I would enjoy a jar candle.

Such a refreshing way to welcome the season. . . an aromaticblend of bay leaves, orange, and cedarwood.

Have you tried Bay Leaf Wreath? What are your thoughts?
Happy candle burning ~

  1. Love it, of course, but not enough to buy a jar of it 😉 I too love how the citrus elements sneak-up on you. It blends very well with the other scents.

  2. I liked but not loved this. I would give it a 6-7 on the new 10 point scale. I’ve had better holiday scents from YC as well as better Bay Leaf scents from other brands. Thanks for the review!
