Review Summary:

A fruity burst of a tropical mango scent that soon morphed into a strange smell.

The scent Wild Thing is included under the ‘Everyday’ category of scents at ScentSationals. I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I did fall for the scent name and decided to check it out. The packaging is kind of wild in itself, with a multitude of bright colors. The packaging description states: “I think I love you.” The wax was a yellowish color and my clamshell was particularly full. On cold sniff, I thought I smelled mango.

A burst of juicy fruit mingled with a touch of wild lavender; this scent will “make your heart sing.”

I used this scent in my living area and it started putting out scent immediately. At first, I was very pleased. It was that mango-y, fruity scent that was so incredibly pleasing and very tropical. That first punch of scent was fabulous… and fairly strong! After about an hour, something happened. This scent morphed for me and the best way I can describe it is that it started smelling like fingernail polish. You know…the acetone type. Ugh. My heart was definitely not singing, but my head was ringing. It was way too wild for me and I had to end up dumping this before it triggered a migraine.scentsationals-wild-thing-wax-melts-candles

  1. Andrea I am a Scentsationals fan. I have used there wax many times. I love tropical scents that are fun and fruity. I’m so sorry you got a dud! Yuck nail polishy acetone! Double yuck!! Glad you dumped that scent. I absolutely HATE when my wax triggers either a tummy ache from the smell or a headache. Not so fun.
