I recently melted some of my melts from my first-time order with Ava’s Country Cupboard. One that I thought most fitting for this time of the year was Tricky Treats. I had this scent in a pair of ghost shaped melts that were just too cute. One had lost an eye in transit, so I thought that should be the first one up for melting. You know…put him out of his misery.
This little ghost was white with two – make that one – black eye. Super cute! The cold sniff was a mix of sweet and spicy to me. I couldn’t pick out any individual notes – this was a great blended scent that was mysterious and complex.
Sweet pumpkin, persimmon, and apple; followed by middle notes of blueberries, elderberries, currants, orange and cinnamon; and well rounded with base notes of sugar cane and vanilla
Once I started melting this scent, I was immediately won over. The berries were juicy and blended well with the spices. The lighter vanilla notes were noticeable at times throughout the melt. Very complex scent and I could see it setting the mood for a Halloween get-together. The scent throw on this melt was fairly strong. It filled a medium sized room with this powerful scent and lasted for hours in a 24W electric melter. Each ghost was a hefty size, but I don’t see them on the website any longer to give specific ounces. I used one whole ghost melt and I needed to use one of my larger warmers.
I could see myself purchasing this again for a specific occasion.
Do you have a favorite Halloween scent? What is it?
Happy candle burning ~
