I’ve been slowly working through my order from Pics, Petals, and Scents. I ordered a Fall sampler, so there have been several different scents for me to choose from. Sometimes that’s my problem…too many choices! The scent Toasted by The Fire jumped out at me one day and I decided to give it a try. This orangish-brown wax melt was shaped like a little daisy and packaged in a cello baggie. The cold sniff reminded me of Toasted Marshmallow – that sweet, sticky scent with a hint of smokiness to it.
A woodsy, earthy aroma with balsam, fir and pine, toasted marshmallow & fresh berries.
When this melt first started out, I smelled sticky, slightly sweet marshmallow. I thought this might turn out to be a simple toasted marshmallow scent…not that there’s anything wrong with that, per se. I LOVE the Toasted Marshmallow scent. But I was looking for something just a bit more with this melt.
Something a bit more is just what I got after about 30 minutes into the melt. This scent had morphed into a woodsy aroma that still had those sweet notes from the toasted marshmallow. It was simply wonderful! It smelled like I was outside at a bonfire, roasting marshmallows. There were times I could even smell the pine needles! I didn’t detect the berry scent individually, but this was still a great mix. This was more earthy than toasted/sweet-y and I loved it. The scent throw was moderately strong as this one melt filled up a medium-sized room with plenty of scent. This is a scent I would reorder in the future.
Do you like woodsy scents? Which are your favorites?
