Review Summary:

Rating Breakdown:

  • Packaging/Presentation: I don't particularly care for the packaging for WoodWick melts. The plastic container is long and rectangular, with 4 scored sections. The label on top is a sticky one that is pulled back to reveal the scented wax. If you don't use the whole bar at once, you can stick the label back down to cover up the remaining sections. The label was pastel pink. There was the WW logo at the very top followed by the wording WoodWick. A little further down, there is an indication that this is a 'highly fragranced wax melt.' The scent name followed and what I did like was that the scent description was right below. The wax was creamy to touch and a pale pink. 2/5
  • Scent: A very pretty scent. I did not smell any berry notes - it was all floral to me. A soft pretty floral, slightly powdery. It's a generic floral that should not be offensive to most. With the softer scent throw, it should make a good scent to have on when entertaining guests. 3/5
  • Scent Throw: Mild. It did best in the smaller room, but it was still a very soft, mild scent throw. I could tell it was melting but it was a background note. In the larger room with 2 cubes, it was very light. 2/5
  • Longevity: This wax melt is slated to last up to 10 hours per the website. It lasted about half that time in my melters. 1.5/5
  • Customer Service (if applicable): I had super fast shipping with this order and everything was packaged well. I had no problems with this order. 5/5
  • Overall rating: 2.5/5 (Technically 2.7 but rounding down for scent throw and longevity.)

  1. Intriguing scent description. Sounds like this was a dud. I love my soft floral scents but as we all prefer, I really want a stronger scent throw. The wax clamshell or bar or whatever it can be called looks kinda weird! Reminds me a bit of the Febreeze bar.

  2. I personally use the whole bar of those at a time because by weight, the whole bar equals about 0.8 oz, which is the amount of a Yankee tart. You might try that and see if the throw improves? I’m not sure because the only scent I have tried is Pumpkin Pie and anything with spice is usually pretty strong!

    • Good idea, Sarah. Certainly makes sense. I may try it with the next batch. Love the sound of the Pumpkin Pie. Mmmmm!
