Wax Melt Review: Santa’s Sugar Cookies, ScentSationals
There are a lot of holiday options available from ScentSationals, both in stores and on the website. The problem in stores is availability – it’s sometimes hard to find exactly what you’re looking for. I do like shopping on the website because, while the price point is a bit higher, I am able to find (most often) just what I’m looking for. I opted to purchase Santa’s Sugar Cookies from the website because I couldn’t find it in my local store.
The packaging was super cute and festive. The colors were red and green and the background showed a smattering of sugar sprinkled Christmas cookie…mmmmm! This wax was off white in color. The description on the packaging simply stated: Childhood magic. The scent description on the website was much more helpful:
Ho ho ho! Warm your house with the scent of St. Nick’s favorite cookies. Still warm from the oven, these buttery cookies shimmer with sweet sugar and spicy cinnamon sprinkled on top.
The cold sniff was delicious – it reminded me of buttery, crisp sugar cookies. Not too sweet and no spices that I detected. I melted this wax melt in a 24W electric melter (2 cubes) and almost immediately began to notice the deliciousness of the scent. This sugar cookie scent was rich and buttery and only slightly sweet. No frosting on these sugar cookies, but delicious all the same. I still couldn’t get any cinnamon notes but that was A-Ok with me. This scent was wonderful! It filled a medium sized room with scent and it lasted for several hours (but not as long as some of the other scents I’ve tried). Overall, this was a great scent that made me want to start baking cookies. Since that would have required me to move, I opted to just sit and relish in the scent at the moment. 😉 A definite repurchase for me.
Have you tried Santa’s Sugar Cookies from ScentSationals?
