I’m a lemon fanatic and it really doesn’t matter what time of the year it is. I love melting and burning lemon scents in my home all year ’round. Needing a break from pumpkins and spice, I picked out Meyer Lemon from Yankee Candle Company the other day to melt.
The packaging on the wax melt was getting me the mood for a citrus blast – a couple of lemons and then one sliced right open to show the juicy pulp. The wax melt itself was a pale yellow. The cold sniff didn’t blow me away…it was a tart lemon scent but fairly light.
A bright and sunny citrus. . . perfectly ripe, with a naturally sweet and refreshing scent.
I melted this tart in a medium sized bedroom using a 24W electric melter. The scent itself was actually wonderful – fresh, crisp and clean. I loved walking into the room and getting a whiff of clean, tart lemon. But that is all I got – a whiff. The scent throw on this one just wasn’t what I would have liked. A great scent with a light throw, so this wax melt will not be a repurchase for me.
