Kringle Candle Company is relatively new to the wax melt scene and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some. I ordered mine at The Lamp Stand (you can see my entire order here), along with some other goodies.
These wax melts beat to a different drum, that’s for sure. This particular wax melt was scented in Cortland Apple. It was a round cup (1.28oz) with a plastic lid on top. The label was on top of the lid and for this particular scent featured a pair of apples and an apple slice. The container was quite interesting as it was not a solid container. It had divisions and that made the wax melt easy to break apart into sections. The wax itself was a creamy white – hard, but not brittle. It was easy to break it apart.
Here is a wonderfully authentic balance of tart and sweet, the very essence of perfectly ripe autumn fruit: our Cortland Apple.
The cold sniff was light but very good. A sweet, crisp apple smell. I did break my wax melt apart but ended up using the entire melt in my 24W electric melter (mainly because of sheer laziness, I admit). It didn’t take long for the sweet smell of apples to start permeating the room. Ahhhh…nice! This was a pure apple scent…no other notes mixed in, which is just as advertised. The apple was mostly sweet but not sickeningly so. It had an element of tartness that balanced it out perfectly.
The scent throw was moderately strong. I really expected it to be a bit stronger as an apple scent, but that did not hold true here. I loved the scent but would have liked it a tad bit stronger. The scent was long lasting in a 24W electric melter (several hours non-stop). I would buy this scent again, but I would purchase more than one to place in a couple of melters at a time. I would also like to try their candles in this scent.
Have you tried the Kringle Candle wax melts? What are your thoughts?
Happy candle burning ~
