Review Summary:

This is a rich, buttery vanilla scent with just the right amount of nuttiness. Moderately strong and lasted for several hours.

I recently found some melts from Olde Primitive Treasures and I’m glad I did. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the melts from here. She used to offer jumbo scent shots and that’s what I have here in Caramelized Pralines:

Olde Primitive Treasures wax melt candle in Caramelized Pralines

It’s hard to tell from this (dark) photo, but this wax melt was huge. Over 2oz of wax. I also don’t see this particular scent listed on the website anymore, which is a shame. It’s delicious! A great, heavy cold throw with mostly buttery caramel notes. Once melted, the nuttiness also emerges and blends quite well with the vanilla caramel. It’s a rich, thick scent that fills the air but is not overpowering. It certainly made me hungry!

This scent lasted well in my 24W electric melter for upwards of 6 hours straight. It was still quite noticeable after that, but I did notice a dropoff in scent by that time. I change out melts routinely at that point, so I don’t know the full life of this melt. It’s something I would definitely reorder if it were offered again at OPT.

Happy candle burning ~

  1. I love caramel+nut scents. Yum. That is a huge tart. I tend to change them out before they are done as well. I have scent ADD – I like new smells often 🙂
