Review Summary:

A warm, cozy and inviting scent of crushed leaves, apples and cinnamon.

I go through spurts of ordering from Yankee Candle Company these days. I picked up Autumn Wreath during one of my recent buying spurts. Autumn Wreath is an orangish brown fluted melt wrapped in the typical shrink wrap paper from YC that I hate. (Are you listening, Yankee???) When I was finally unable to unwrap this melt, I was hit by the scents of fall.

Welcome the season cheerfully with the spicy warmth of autumn leaves and cinnamon apples. Just as wreath hung on the front door signals the change in season, the subtle notes of apple and cinnamon spices tell everyone who visits your home that they are as welcome as the new season. Start a new tradition in your home this fall.

This has the scent of freshly raked leaves with a hint of spiciness on cold sniff. It didn’t take long once on the melter (24W electric) for it to start filling the room with a warm, cozy scent. The outdoorsy-leaves scent was predominant and the cinnamon notes were present, too, but it was not too spicy. The apple scent blended in well without being overpowering as many apple scents can be. This is not a typical “apple yankee-candle-autumn-wreath-wax-melt-opencinnamon” scent. It has an additional ‘umph’ element (crushed leaves) that makes it very warm, inviting and cozy. Perfect for company or when entertaining!

The scent throw to me was moderately strong and the tart lasted several hours in my electric warmer. I left this tart in overnight and was still able to enjoy it’s cozy goodness the following morning. Score! A definite reorder scent for me.

What are your favorite Fall scents?

Happy candle burning ~

  1. Autumn Wreath from YC is one of my favorites! I bought 1 and then went back and got 3 more! I also bought the air freshener for my car! I really really like Orchard Pear, Cozy Sweater, Harvest Welcome, Autumn Woods, Apple Pumpkin, Autumn Leaves, Salted Carmel, These are just to name a few!!

Maybe for the next Candle Contest a gift card to YC?

    Thanks Girls!!!

    • I have Cozy Sweater and Apple Pumpkin. They smell great on cold sniff – I can’t wait to burn them! I’m dying to get my hands on the coveted Autumn Lodge, but they seem to stay sold out.

Thanks for the feedback, Carolyn. November is National Candle Month. Stay tuned. Who knows what we might do! 😉

  2. Autumn Wreath by Yankee Candle is a definite fall staple for me. I have not tried this scent in tarts, but I did pick up a jar candle during a recent sale and it is amazing. A signature scent for fall. I was also lucky enough to find a 3 pack of the car jars in Autumn Wreath at a local outlet store. Score!!!

    • Laurie,
That was a total score! I can’t wait to try this one in a large candle jar.

  3. The “crushed leaves” note is what makes this scent for me. Otherwise the apple cinnamon alone wouldn’t blow me away. But I am planning to re-purchase this scent at the semiannual sale this year, if they have it.
