The Sparkling Rain clamshell melt was the one I picked up at Big Lots. The rest of the goodies came from WalMart. The ScentSationals’ melts were all repurchases. I had not been melting the melts from Better Homes & Gardens, so I thought it was high time I tried. Even though I didn’t have much success with my last Febreze wax melt, I wanted to give another scent a try. The wax melts are just too cute!
My cold sniff thoughts on my new wax melties:
Faded Denim, ScentSationals: The comfort of broken-in denim. This is one of my very favorites from ScentSationals. Very fresh and clean, strong cold scent throw.
Coconut Macaroon, ScentSationals: Toasted coconut and sliced almonds wrapped in sugary maple, crushed nuts, butter rum and creamy vanilla. Another favorite. The cold sniff is creamy coconut with cookie/bakery notes. Delicious!
Sweet Tropical Salsa, Better Homes & Gardens: (No scent description available.) Oooh, this is so delicious on cold sniff! It’s a sweet and spicy combination that seems like just the perfect mix. A fairly strong cold sniff.
White Suede Driftwood, Better Homes & Gardens: (No scent description available.) This is a sexy scent. It’s a bit earthy with a slight musk smell to it. It’s nice but not one of my favorites on cold sniff. A moderate cold sniff.
Vanilla Cookie Crunch, Better Homes & Gardens: (No scent description available.) This is a fairly delicious smelling wax melt. A sweet cookie scent, but the cold sniff is on the light side.
Creamy Tahitian Coconut, Better Homes & Gardens: (No scent description available.) This smells like a suntan coconutty scent. Light cold sniff. Eh.
Mineral Springs, Febreze: (No scent description available.) This has a bit of a men’s cologne type smell to it. It’s not a bad scent, just not quite what I expected. The cold sniff is moderately strong.
Sparkling Rain, Everyday Reflections: (No scent description available.) This has a light cold sniff. It smells almost floral, but it’s hard to tell because the cold sniff is so light. I’m thinking fresh/clean/floral mix.
I gifted one of my wax melters, which made a perfect excuse to buy another one. I thought there were plenty of options to choose from at WalMart, but I finally settled on the Bronze Lantern bulb wax melter from ScentSationals.
The warmer really is quite beautiful when it is on. It does put out quite a bit of light. I keep thinking I’ve left an overhead light on when I’m using this warmer!
Stay tuned to Candle Scoop for future reviews of the above!
