Rating Breakdown:

1. Packaging/Presentation: This reed diffuser came in a tall box that was fairly elegant by design. The box was tastefully decorated and had the company name and scent name displayed on a label on the front. There was a hint of the scent description toward the bottom of that label. Once opening, I noticed the reeds first. There were 12 reeds in total with the diffuser – plenty for scent enjoyment. The reeds looked and felt of great quality – nice pores for “wicking up” the scent for dispersement. The bottle itself was capped nice and tight with a seal. It was easy to remove the wrapping and then unplug the bottle. I did need to be careful not to spill any of the oil on my surfaces. That was simply because the bottle was quite full! The bottle was made of thick glass and had minimal markings. I thought that added to the zen feel of this diffuser. The liquid was an amber color. Overall, a very elegant looking reed diffuser. 4.5/5

2. Scent: I received many compliments while having this reed diffuser in my office. This was universally enjoyed and commented on by men and women alike. The amber was warm, sensual, and sexy with an earthiness provided by patchouli. It made the scent overall warm and very sophisticated. There was a hint of sweet woodiness from the cedar. There were sharp notes that keep piercing through the scent – possibly the clove. I could not pick out individual vanilla notes, but that really didn’t matter to me. This was a very complex scent that was pleasing to my nose. 5/5

3. Scent Strength: I was very pleased with the scent strength of this reed diffuser. I was able to scent up my office room nicely without running myself out of the room. It stayed in the air within my office but also trickled down the hallway. It was unmistakable as you crossed the threshold into my office. I expect reed diffusers to have a milder scent throw, but I’ve had several reed diffusers before that have not been able to churn out this much scent. 3.5/5

4. Performance: I am actually still using this product. I have been using it for just at 4 weeks with the product still performing well. I found I need to flip my reeds at about 3 weeks. Looking at the pictures down below, you can tell that there is very little product that has evaporated, even after 4 weeks! This product is obviously going to last several more weeks. I did use all the reeds included, because I wanted maximum scent throw. It would be possible to insert fewer reeds and change out reeds as needed. 5/5

  1. Andrea,
This looks like a lovely, high quality product. I am not particularly fond of amber/musky/patchouli scents, but given how high quality this looks, am tempted to buy it in another scent. Thanks for the review!
