Flavor of The Week – Old Time Lemonade

Andrea’s Flavor of The Week is Old Time Lemonade from Goose Creek Candles.

I must confess that this week my melters have not seen a lot of action…for a number of reasons. But one scent that I have had the pleasure of enjoying is perfect for a hot, summer day – Old Time Lemonade from Goose Creek Candles. Their website describes this scent as:

The thirst quenching, bitter sweet aroma of a freshly squeezed glass of lemonade.

Ahhhh! I have been searching for a lemonade scent that is not too syrupy sweet and I think I might have found one. This lemonade scent iced-cold-lemonadedefinitely has a bite to it. The sweetness is more of an afterthought, and that’s certainly alright with me. I am amazed at how realistic the scent from this wax melt is!

For melts, Goose Creek only offers clamshells, so that’s what I’ve been using. The scent throw is not quite as strong as I would like, unfortunately. In my bedrooms, I was able to get by with 3 cubes (half a pack) to get the desired throw I wanted. I was using electric melters in those rooms. Even so, the scent throw was moderately strong for over 4 hours and definitely noticeable for another 5 or 6. Not too bad. I’ll certainly reorder this one since I’m loving the scent so much.

Happy candle burning!

  1. I love lemon scents! I’m completely in love with Bath & Body Work’s Limoncello.

    • I love lemon scents, too, Gil! Limoncello is a great scent. If you haven’t tried B&BW’s London’s Calling, it’s a good one to put on your ‘to try’ list. 🙂
