This particular candle is one that I have had in my vaults (so to speak) for quite some time. Candle Marketplace sells this brand of candle – AcScents Aromatics – and I have had very good luck with them in the past. This scent was Very Vanilla.
The candle jar I had was their 12 ounce round jar. I was pleasantly surprised to see this size jar had a double wick. The round jar had a silver lid and a round silver-foil label on the front. The candle was labelled as AcScents Aromatics and the scent name was printed on the very bottom of the jar (on the warning label). The wax was a light tan/beige color. It was difficult to get a simple scent description from the website, but here’s a portion of how this candle is described:
The touch of fresh heavy cream in every Very Vanilla Candle gives each candle a sweet, rich flair that perfectly complements the genuine Madagascar Vanilla. Together these two fragrances create a sweet vanilla aroma that brings back warm loving memories of baking sweets with Mom.
The cold sniff didn’t reveal much. I lit this candle in my small powder room and left it for about 30 minutes. It started churning out a very subtle, but very delicious, vanilla scent. This vanilla was deep and rich – a heavy vanilla. I didn’t detect any sweetness and I wouldn’t label this as a bakery scent. It was really good, but I would have preferred a stronger scent.
I did get a full wax melt pool in a little under an hour with this candle. The double wicks burned well but could become mini torches, so I had to watch them pretty carefully. The candle burned well all the way down without any wasted wax.
Although I liked this scent and really had no trouble with the candle, it’s not a scent I would repurchase.
Happy candle burning ~
