Frosted Cranberry is included in the White Barn Collection at Bath & Body Works. I’ve shied away from this candle before because I do not particularly care for straight cranberry scents. But this was a frosted cranberry after all. I decided to sniff this one out in a local B&BW store and I was hooked. It smelled so fruity and fresh!
The candle I bought was the three-wick jar candle. It had a dull gold lid as opposed to the usual shiny silver one…I suppose that was to make it more festive. The label shows some beautiful, red cranberries still on the bush and dusted in snow. The wax color was a deep red. The look of this candle just screamed ‘holidays’, so I can see how it would be a popular candle this time of year.
Back to the cold sniff…the sniff I fell in love with in store. It was fresh and crisp and clean. Oh and fruity! The cranberry scent hit me in the face, but not as a tart cranberry. This cranberry scent had a sweetness to it that was simply amazing. The cold scent throw was very strong.
Inspired by ripe, red cranberries dusted with fresh snow and a blend of juicy peach, raspberry and vanilla
I burned this candle in my powder room for starters. I returned 30 minutes after starting this candle and noted it already had a full wax melt pool going. And the scent? Fantastic! Very fruity and fresh. It smelled like sugared cranberries with a good mix of tart and sweet. I didn’t smell any raspberries, peach or vanilla. I did expect a bit more complex scent based on the scent description. BUT this candle scent was still great. I loved it and would certainly spring for more.
The candle burn was fantastic. I had big high flames initially that then tamed to medium sized flames throughout the rest of the burn. I find that scenario to be true with many of the White Barn candles. I had a deep wax melt pool and no wasted wax. The scent throw was strong – this candle did well in my powder room and in larger rooms when I moved it around.
Have you smelled Frosted Cranberry? What are your thoughts?
Happy candle burning ~
