Review Summary:

A fruity bubbly scent with a great scent throw.

Cranberry Pear Bellini from Bath & Body Works is one of the candles in their It Happened One Night candle collection. I recently purchased one each from this collection and I was anxious to get started burning it.

The candle itself was very pretty…it had that festive look to it that is perfect for party time. There was a band of confetti around the glass jar (deep pink, gold, silver, and black) and a deep pink ribbon in the center. The black gift label had an elegant flair with the scent name Cranberry Pear Bellini in all caps. The lid to this candle was a dull gold with a textured pattern. The wax was sooooo pretty – a pale pink with a slight shiny, waxy look to it. I noticed the three wicks on this candle were a bit thicker than I’ve seen on the latest Fall candles.

Bubbly and delicious – a bright blend of sparkling cranberry, sweet pear nectar and luscious blackcurrant. Cheers!

I loved the cold sniff immediately – fresh and fruity! A welcome change from all the heavy pumpkin and spice scents I’ve been melting/burning lately. The cranberry was most notable with deep black currant end notes. Delish! I lit this candle in my powder room, which is the smallest space in my home to burn a candle. This candle started putting out scent immediately! Before a full wax pool developed, I was bath-body-works-cranberry-pear-bellini-candleable to smell a fruity explosion in the hallway outside of the powder room. The scent was fantastic! The tart cranberry was most prominent but it was blended well with the sweetness of the pear scent. The black currant notes remained steady throughout and kept this from being too sweet. This candle scent was strong…very strong! It was really too much for my powder room, so I moved it to a more open space where I enjoyed it much better.

The burn was very good. I got a full wax melt pool in a very short time. I had big flames on these wicks and I did need to trim these frequently to keep them from getting out of hand. A small price to pay for such a fabulous scent. I really loved this candle and would purchase it again and again.

Have you tried any of the candles from the It Happened One Night collection? What are your thoughts?

Happy candle burning ~

  1. Andrea I recently purchased this same candle and immediately loved it! I agree with you, it was a nice change from the heavy pumpkinny cinnaminny smells traditional for Fall. I put the candle in my kitchen which is open to my living room and entry way. The scent throw was certainly strong enough to fill the entire space. I would certainly purchase this scent again from B&BW.
