Cinnamon Caramel Swirl is one of the candles in the Holiday Traditions lineup from Bath & Body Works. The candle I purchased was their 14.5 ounce, 3-wick candle jar with a chrome lid. The picture on the front label was mouthwatering – a large cupcake with swirls of white frosting on top, drizzled with caramel. The wax color itself was a golden honey brown.
The cold sniff on this candle was primarily cinnamon with buttery caramel notes. I found the cold scent throw to be moderately strong. Once lit, the cinnamon was less prominent to me. It was also a sweet type of cinnamon – not harsh, which I did like. This candle scent was noticeably more caramel than cinnamon. A pretty sticky sweet caramel with a strong scent throw. This candle churned out the scent in the room it was in and well beyond. I felt deceived by the picture on the label – no cake notes! It was a really good scent but this candle turned on me about half-way down. The scent morphed into more of a burnt caramel scent and one that I didn’t really like to have going for long stretches at a time.
The ultimate blend of creamy caramel, cinnamon and sweet vanilla creates the most delectable fragrance treat
The candle burn was pretty good – I had a full wax melt pool in no time with no wasted wax. The melt pool on this candle wasn’t as deep as some of the other B&BW candles I’ve been burning lately. Also, the wicks kept lower flames than I’m used to. But I didn’t have any trouble with the wicks – no drowning, no sputtering. This candle also seemed to last a bit longer than the other B&BW candles. Although I enjoyed this candle, it isn’t one of my favorites and one I probably wouldn’t purchase again.
Happy candle burning ~
