Cider Lane is one of the Fall 2013 candle offerings from Bath & Body Works. I picked this baby up during one of their spectacular 2 for $22 sales online with $1 shipping. The three-wick candle was filled with a reddish burgundy wax. The label showed a cup of cider with a slice of apple and a couple of sticks of cinnamon. Here’s the scent description from the website:
As sweet as a trip to the local apple orchard each year, a delicious fall blend of mulled cider, warm caramel and sweet cinnamon.
I will admit that I didn’t read the scent description before I snapped this one up…that takes waaaay too much time! So I was so pleasantly surprised when I whipped off the chrome lid and took a whiff…oh my! It was apple, a little cinnamony, hints of cider, and CARAMEL! It was sooooo good! It really smelled mostly like a caramel apple dunked into hot cider. I loved it! Very strong cold sniff!
Burning this candle was no exception. I used it in my powder room and closed the door, but it did not take long to smell the wonderful caramel apple scent in that room and beyond. The scent throw was quite strong! This was not sticky sweet, but it was definitely heavier on the sweet side than anything else. I really didn’t detect much in the way of the cinnamon, so be aware of that if that’s not what you’re looking for. Me? I loved it. This was a fast burning candle with a fairly deep melt pool. The flames on this candle were lower than some of the other B&BW candles that I have burned, but it did not have drowning wicks. Loved this candle and I will be purchasing this one again.
Have you tried Cider Lane? What are your thoughts?
Happy candle burning ~
