Rating Breakdown:

  • Packaging/Presentation: This candle pot was incredibly festive. It was a Christmas red and the vessel was reflective (although the website makes the glass look like it has some transparency). The inner lining of the candle vessel was silver and this made for a beautiful presentation when the flames were flickering. The wax color was off white. The wicks were very slim and bunched kind of close together (which I didn’t like). There was also no lid for this container, but I used a chrome lid from a Bath & Body Works candle. The label was a red color with a white scripted font that spelled “Cheer.” This is a candle vessel I will keep for other uses. 4.5/5
  • Scent: The scent was bright and festive. It smelled almost like a wine scent. I did smell some tartness from the cranberries but the green base kept this scent grounded. It was a lovely and complex scent. 5/5
  • Scent Throw: This scent throw was milder than the Fir candle I tried, but it was still pretty powerful. It scented up the powder room well and (just barely) crept past the closed door. 4/5
  • Performance: I thought this candle burned well. I got a full wax melt pool in a very short period of time. There was no wasted wax. If I let this candle burn too long, the wicks would start to smoke. I also had to straighten my wicks a few times. They were so thin that they tended to lean over some when in a full wax melt pool. I got approximately 100 hours burn time with this candle. 4/5
  • Customer Service (if applicable): Excellent CS from Bluewick. 5/5
  • Overall rating: 4.5/5

Disclosures: None. I purchased this product myself.

Happy candle burning ~

  1. Sounds like this candle was pretty good. I like the way you use the lids from B&BW candles. I need to remember to do this myself! Great idea Andrea!!

    • LOL, Carolyn. I have a few I store in my candle accessories cabinet. They come in handy for moments such as these. 🙂
