Box Opening: Sensibly Posh Wax Melts

While browsing around on Etsy, I stumbled upon a site with some of the cutest wax melts – Sensibly Posh. The melts are clamshell melts, normally $4 each. I bought the special (purchase 3 wax melts for $10) while she had a free shipping sale. I was happy to see that she included a free clamshell melt in my order – cool!

Date ordered: September 21

Date received: September 30

The scents I ordered were Lemon Sugar Bundt Cake, Frosty Windowpane and Pumpkin Creme Brulee. Apple Pumpkin Strudel was the free clamshell melt. These are soy wax melts, super soft . There are no scent descriptions that I could find, which is a total bummer.

Lemon Sugar Bundt Cake: Beautiful yellow color with lighter yellow drizzle. A yummy, yummy cold sniff. It smells of slightly tart but mostly sweet lemon with butter cake notes. Strong cold throw! This is probably my favorite of the bunch, but I am partial to lemon scents.

Frosty Windowpane: White colored wax with a blue streaks for a “frame.” This smells cool and minty. Very refreshing. Strong cold throw.

Pumpkin Creme Brulee: Orange wax lightly sprinkled with cinnamon. The creme brulee is super strong in this one – I am hit with strong caramel like notes and creamy pumpkin in the background. Delicious!wax-melt-order-sensibly-posh

Apple Pumpkin Strudel: A lighter orange wax with lots of cinnamon sprinkled on top. Mmmmm, I love this one. The apple is the predominant scent here with hints of pumpkin in the background. A sweeter scent with a moderately strong scent throw.

I am super duper impressed so far and although I know I should let these sit a bit, I already plunked in two cubes of Apple Pumpkin Strudel…to die for! It had a really strong scent throw and was so delicious. I can’t wait to try more!

Have you tried Sensibly Posh? What are your thoughts?

Happy candle burning ~

  1. I ordered clams from Sensibly Posh, and I’m really happy with the cold throw on all of them. I melted Lemon Sugar Bundt Cake and it was delish. I heard she is phasing out the dyes in her product so that it’s more natural. Fine by me.

    • I heard that as well, Christy. I must admit…I love the fun colors and decorations. But in the end, I want the wax to smell good so OK by me, too!
