Box Opening: Patch NYC Candles from The Soap & Paper Factory

soap-and-paper-factory-inside-box-candlesI recently picked up a few candles from The Soap & Paper Factory. They carry Patch NYC candles and they had a sale. That was good enough for me! I was new to shopping here and new to Patch NYC candles. The website is super cute and the candles? Verrry interesting, indeed! I was drawn to the unique scents and the scent names themselves. It was hard to keep my selection to a minimum! I finally opted on three candles: Serpent, Bear, and Swallow.

Date ordered: October 31

Date received: November 7

Receiving the package was awesome. Everything was packaged so neatly – it was like opening a present at Christmas! There was also a personalized handwritten thank-you note tucked inside. Very nice touch! The candles themselves are wonderful – the packaging has that old world vibe and the simplicity of the candle jars themselves adds to it.

a vintage inspired collection of artisan scented candles crafted by hand!

Serpent: {petitgrain, hay abs., geranium}enchanting and smoothly seductive vivid and crisp as a lush garden. Oooh this one is wonderful. It smells somewhat floral but the distinct hay aroma is blended in. A complex scent that I love the best of all three. Moderate cold throw.

Bear: {Sweet jasmine, violet, cedar, amber wood}plush and lush with a honeyed flourish, sumptuous as a long winter’s nap. This one starts as a floral but has a sweet/earthy cedar finish on cold sniff. Very complex. Moderate cold throw.

Swallow: {Orange blossom, rosewood, cyclamen, oakmoss}a high-flying floral medley imbued with a graceful earthiness, a curiously enduring fragrance. This one is a little sweeter, but with a natural sweetness. It also has an earthiness to it that is wonderful. The cold throw on this one is the strongest of the three.
